Apple Cider Vinegar



Apple cider vinegar is quite often

praised for its health benefits and is a favourite among health coaches and dieticians.

It is basically a vinegar made from apples, sugar and yeast, it is used in salad dressings, marinades, vinaigrettes, food preservatives, and chutneys. It is obtained  by  crushing apples and squeezing out the liquid, addition of bacteria / yeast which is then fermented.

It has been used as an ancient folk remedy since ages. So how does it work?


Well, let's dive deeper into the actual benefits one can obtain from Apple Cider Vinegar.


1. Helps in fat reduction


Being acidic in nature it aids fat loss. Certain studies concluded that Apple cider vinegar has appetite suppressing effects. This can help people with eating disorders and obesity.


2. Detoxifies your system


Consumption of apple cider vinegar can help cleanse the digestive system due to its acidic nature and the fact that it contains enzymes that encourage healthy bacteria. Apple cider vinegar will bind to toxins, helping them out of the body during a detox.

Apple cider vinegar's potassium content helps to break up mucus in the body and clear the lymph nodes.


3.  Regulates blood sugar levels


Type 2 diabetes is characterized by high blood sugar levels, either because of insulin resistance or an inability to produce insulin.


Apple cider vinegar has proven to reduce sugar levels rapidly. However, If you're currently taking blood - sugar - lowering medications, check with your physician before  you start consuming apple cider vinegar.


4. Controls bad breath


Due to the unhealthy lifestyle we live and unhealthy processed food that we eat, many people suffer from bad breath issues. 

Well , apple cider vinegar helps in absorbing foul smell and kills bacteria easily.

5. Improves Digestion


Apple cider vinegar can help heal digestive problems. To reduce gas, mix a tablespoon of enzyme-rich apple cider vinegar with a cup of water or tea, and drink before a meal. This will also help prevent constipation, as  vinegar stimulates digestive juices that help your body breakdown food.


6. Strengthens your immunity system


The  acids present in apple cider vinegar can  help your body eliminate toxins more  effectively. Apple cider vinegar can also help to stimulate circulation. When toxins are eliminated from  the cells in your body , your  immune system gets stronger.


Here's some easy ways to consume Apple cider vinegar!


1. Dilute in water.


Add 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar into 1 glass of water. Stir well , drink and enjoy the benefits of this cider.


2. Apple cider and honey morning drink.


Add 1 tsp apple cider vinegar to a  medium sized glass of water.


Add 2 tsp organic honey


Add 2-3 ice cubes


Stir well , sip and relax.


3. Curry


You can Add about 1-2 tsp Apple cider into any Indian curry for taste as well as health benefits.


4. Apple cider - grapefruit mash up



Add 2 tsp Apple cider to 250 ml of grapefruit juice.


5. Energy drink


•8 oz of purified water

•1 to 2 tsp of Apple cider vinegar

•1 tsp organic honey

•1 tsp cinnamon powder


Mix the above ingredients well and drink whenever you need a refill of energy during the day.
