GROUNDING - benefits of staying down to earth.










We are bioelectrical beings living on an electrical planet. Our bodies operate electrically. All of our cells transmit multiple frequencies that run our heart, immune system, muscles, and nervous system.


With the exception of humans living in industrialized societies, all living things on our planet are connected to the ground’s electrical energy.

The truth is, we are disconnected, ungrounded, out of touch with the Earth.

Grounding is an exercise that connects you energetically to the earth merely by walking barefoot on natural flooring like soil , sand or grass. It allows you to be more authentically in your body, in the present moment, and receive nourishing energy.

Just like electrical appliances , we humans also need earthing / grounding.


Scientific research over the past decade indicates that our bodies can be protected and helped—and that we feel better—when we are electrically connected to the Earth. That is, when we are grounded.


The footwear we wear acts as a barrier. Grounding isn't a recent wellness trend but an age old practice.

Grounding enables us to connect with mother earth. Being a health coach , I strongly recommend her healing touch.


How does it work ?


The planet we live on is like a gigantic battery that is negatively charged. However , the environment we live in , is positively charged.

As we work around the day , our body builds up a positive charge. In order to strike a BALANCE , we need to stay directly connected with the earth.

Grounding helps in neutralising and stabilizing the electrical fields in our body.


When the human body is grounded, its electrical potential becomes equalized with the Earth's electrical potential through a transfer of electrons from the Earth to the body.


Walking on plain earth has numerous benefits , I've listed the top 5 health benefits of grounding. And I hope after reading those , you might want to visit a park and ditch your shoes.


1. Neutralizes free radicals


Free radicals are generated through inflammation, infection, cell damage, trauma, stress, and toxic environment.

This causes damage to cells, proteins and DNA.

Grounding is a simple and inexpensive way by which most of us can keep these destructive forces at bay.


2. Improves sleep cycle & helps manage stress.


Grounding helps in establishing a normal cortisol level which results in sound sleep

and reduced stress levels.

Connecting with the earth can also help in connecting with your inner self. According to a recent research , it was observed that grounding did leave positive effects on patients suffering from clinical depression.

A study published in " The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine " found that grounding can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and heart attacks. It also helps in maintaining blood pressure levels.

Holistic experts recommend atleast 15 mins of grounding per day for patients suffering from hypertension ( High BP ).


4. Helps avoid premature ageing.


Free radicals are the root cause of premature ageing. It causes our skin to wrinkle and body to weaken. Where as, Grounding can help one strike a BALANCE.
